Serif in Education

Calling all teachers and pupils!

We are lucky now to live in a world where to get our message heard we no longer have to stand on a roof top or our soapbox and bellow! Technology has enabled us to spread our ideas, opinions and stories around the world with the development of one simple idea – the blog.

A blog is defined as ‘a web site containing the writer’s or group of writers’ own experiences, observations, opinions’. This is what makes us such a fan; a blog allows you to build a fuller picture of who you are. This is why we started our blog – so that the team at Serif can get to know our community of teachers and pupils that little bit better, and we can hopefully provide you with an insight into what makes us tick at the same time.

Sound interesting? If you want to turn your hand to blogging, and would be willing to share your experiences and ideas with the Serif community and wider, we want to hear from you!

We would love to hear first-hand how Serif works for you; as a teacher have you encouraged your pupils to use any of the software for a particular project? Have you produced any exciting work using Serif, as a pupil? Whatever the case may be, each story will be different which is what is great.

This provides schools with a great opportunity to shout about the work that you do as well – share the stories of inspirational teaching methods, amazing work you have produced or your thoughts on the world of ICT for schools and you could see your name up here in lights (or rather tagged as ‘author’!)

If you are a teacher or pupil, and would like the opportunity to wear the proud label ‘Serif guest blogger’ please get in touch with us in the comments box below or at edublog@serif.com.

You can follow us on twitter to keep up to date.

We look forward to hearing from you!
